| | Le carnet. Pendant le second jour, les vœx de silence empêcheraient presque toutes les petites choses drôles qu'ont peut se glisser entre amis. Un carnet et un crayon remédient à ça. Écoutez... | |

This is not the sink, this is the bathtub. I may have shed/shaved/plucked/razored a pound of hairs. |

On my way to an exciting second interview. |

This is my first shot for FGR. I felt like no idea would come but I love this movie. I started toying with the ideas of posing with the crow on my arm, or just looking afraid in front of a telegraphic pole with birds on top, but all of this has been done to death... So I took what I thought was easy, replacing Tippi on the poster. I was happy with the idea until I actually found the poster online. There are about 10 different layers in my Photoshop file in the end, for the original background, the same but on top of me, then me, the colour change for my t-shirt, the black crow painted on my face, the text moved on the left to match my hand, a white mask to hide the original Tippi, a yellow one with my tiny face at the bottom, and my name next to it... |

The London Eye Is My Halo. Le London Eye Est Mon Auréole. |

Believe it or not there is absolutely no retouching on this photo, as much as I would like to say the glow on my face, the sky, light in the trees, reflection on the tower or in my eyes have anything to do with me, I just held my arm (while I was on the phone with my father) and shot. This is very close to where I work, for another... three weeks. Gillette Corner is a crossroad between the A4 and B454 roads, on the border between Osterley and Brentford in West London, and is part of the Great West Road's "Golden Mile". It is home to the former headquarters of the Gillette Company, a grade II listed Art Deco style building. The surrounding area, which is also known as Syon Lane, named after the name of the B454 as it crosses the A4 at Gillette Corner, is home to a Tesco hypermarket and nearby Syon Lane railway station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gillette_Corner |

... this summer, and we each came back with a kilt. So we thought we would both take a picture in it today. Here's mine, she took hers yesterday night. |

I close my eyes, plug in my headphones, and none of this happening. The world around me isn't here, I'm immaterial, floating, rested, and I'm in a better place. How to Disappear That there That's not me I go where I please I walk through walls I float down the Liffey I'm not here This isn't happening I'm not here
In a little while I'll be gone The moment's already passed Yeah it's gone And I'm not here This isn't happening I'm not here
Strobe lights and blown speakers Fireworks and hurricanes I'm not here This isn't happening I'm not here-- Radiohead |

4am, I woke up because of... I don't know. Too hot in the flat. I turned the heating down, got to drink some Fanta, remembered I didn't get a photo for yesterday, shot this and went to bed. I remember that all of this because I saw the camera next to me in bed when I woke up. |

No silver lining on my cloud. |
|
I'm trying to keep a good face about leaving, but everything I see, hear or smell moves me, even the inane things that pass my window on the train... This last month in London is going to be way to short for all the things I have to do, but way too long for my nerves, I want to have my new job, my new flat, and at last her skin against my skin... |

Another panorama shot with the iPhone. |

You can tell from my clothes and my being shaved that it was an important day for me. |
|
Using Skype at work implied finding the right port and bringing my MacBook Pro. On her side, she had to install find her name and password again... Plus we're using the phone, much better sound quality. Easy, totally worth it. The screenshot was taken a couple of minutes ao, and uploaded while we were still talking. |

On my way to work. This was an exciting meeting. |

So I hated the first version of this one, but after a crop, two blurs, a white balance, a lens correction to avoid giving an even bigger nose than I already have, I kinda accept to see me on it. I like the fact that it looks almost like a drawing, or an Illustrator file. |
