IMDb (Internet Movie Database) the biggest data base on movies, is 18 years old! It's obviously the oldest site on the Web, for a good reason: the first browser only appears one year later.
In fact, the IMDb founder Col Needham explains that he starts publishing movie credits on the newsgroups (usenet, an other Internet protocol, older than the Web HTTP).
~
Today IMDB.com has became a enormous website, collecting data from thousands movies. From older, to those still in production, pages about actors, but also about TV series and video games. It brings 2 millions visitors a day!

Beware, some seem so real! Some examples of e-mails I received and you must take care.
Phishing consists usually of sending a lot of e-mails by masquerading as a trustworthy entity, which often store money (banks, eBay, PayPal ...), asking you to connect your account for fictitious reasons.
The e-mail contains a link to a perfect clone of the original, but that only used to get you personnal usename and password.
Here are 2 examples of phishing I just receive and that you may get too.

A small and simple tip to badly accelerate the launch and close of Firefox 3, and especially to avoid a crash which occurs sometimes when closing (Firefox disappears, but remains in memory taking 100% CPU). This happens in particular if the server of one of your extension is down or temporarily down.
To avoid this, and see Firefox 3 opens and closes almost as quickly as Opera, you only have to disable the automatic update for add-ons.
So, you will say add-ons won't be updated then. Yes, that's true, but with the seconds gained on each opening and closing, you will save enough time to update them manually.
I invite you to try, according to me you will keep that setting!

As I already said earlier, PHP can not only make web pages. We can also generate images. First, let's see how to add a text on an image.
As it's a very long tutorial, which will be followed by other articles about images management in PHP, I divided it in two parts.
Images in PHP with GD2 - Part 1 image creation
Possible uses include
- create nice image titles with complex fonts like above (see the image address
),
- add a signature text on all your images,
- make a captcha (anti-spam image),
- put dynamic text coming from PHP variables in images.

Purists know that having a valid HTML code is very important not only to participate in the effort of standardization of the web, but also for referencing and compatibility with all browsers present or future.
The problem
Many CMS and blogs use the free WYSIWYG editor TinyMCE. Wordpress from version 2.5 includes the version 3 of this editor which generate HTML code entirely valid except for Flash and videos (Real, WMV, Quicktime)!
