They bring you great music without the sugar coating that's required for radio. Definatley a good choice if you want the room to be energized, this release contains 8 songs of pleasure, pain, drinking lots of hell raisin' for your listening pleasure. No matter if you like punk, rock, hardcore, "billy", or country you will probably want to play this very loudly. Totally unrestrained, "Payin My Dues Again" is perfect for those who like their music rowdy, the volume up. This CD isn't for virgin ears, but if you haven't heard this you should get familiar with it. Long time favorites in the south (particularly Texas), Flat Tires bring with them a sound somewhere between Hank Sr. the Casualties if you can imagine that. This has got to be some of the best drinking music I've laid ears on... This three peice originally aimed to ... Backroad Bastards- Blue Light Special The Backroad Bastards are yet another new band storming the scene in the Tri-State area. This three peice originally aimed to do a country western release, but their hardcore backgrounds sent things in a different direction. The result so far is a heavy sound with that certain "Twang". Safely described as Cowpunk, this release is going to be full of energy and not for the tame or timid. So far, we can expect 9 songs that make you want to start a pit #38; kick some teeth in with a possibility of more. Fans of bands like the Barnyard Ballers #38; the Hellbats should keep an ear out for these guys #38; this release. Blue Light Special isn't out yet, but trust me, you want it. Most of the songs are available through the band, #38; if you ask real nice maybe they'll sell you a personally burned copy. Either you'll love it, or you'll hate it, but I can guarantee you've never heard anything just like it. Mostly utilizing an industrial/ metal feel, there is a lot of artistic variance. If you're a fan of explicit lyrics #38; loud music you need the whole collection. There are too many great CD's from these guys for me to pick one, but each release has its own feel to it. To hear their newest material you'll have to wait untill February, when the tour kicks off. If you go see them in person you'll even get to see their megaphone/microphone set up!
